David built his career reading what people truly want. From the early days of search to today’s AI-driven discovery, he has spent more than thirty years turning behavioral intent into growth for the brands he serves. Through Tridence, the agency he founded and leads, his teams have guided more than 200 brands, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations across marketing, SEO, intent data, web development, and geomarketing.
Creating SEO 3.0
David is the pioneer of Signal Engagement Optimization™, the framework he branded as SEO 3.0. It holds that search engines and AI platforms rank and recommend brands by how real people engage with their content across every platform. To put the framework to work, he built Signal Scanner, a diagnostic that measures how AI systems see and represent a brand.
A human-first philosophy
As AI reshapes how customers discover and trust companies, David argues for keeping the human at the center. He shares that thesis in his books, Humanizing Your Brand in an AI World and Humanizing Your Brand & Be Successful, and on stages and podcasts where he helps owners and leaders adopt AI without losing their voice.
Beyond the boardroom
David’s discipline traces back to the field. A lifelong soccer player who trained with Liverpool and Bayern Munich and served as a FIFA-certified referee, he brings the same focus to business that he brought to the pitch. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, with roots in Chicago, he gives back through the Triverse Foundation and remains an active voice in his community.
